the puppy bunch
Here's a story,
Of a lovely lady,
Who was bringing up nine very lovely pups.
All of them had hair of gold,
Like their mother,
The youngest one in curls.
3 weeks old!
The puppies took their first adventure outside! They also got their first bath. Since puppies take a while to be able to control their own temperatures, we didn't want to risk anything until they were 3 weeks old. It was a lot of fun to hold the clean puppies. Although it took no time at all to get all messy again.

lulu, the dam
we call lulu our lionheart, she is so loving and mellow. she loves to be with the family always. when it's time to relax she knows how to do that, and when it's time to play, she knows how to do that too...and it when it is time to look incredibly regal or silly she can throw that our way as well. :)
brutus, the sire
so what is Brutus like?
all boy. he has a ton of toys in the yard and so the backyard has become his kingdom.
he'll let you know it's his domain, but once you're in, you're a pal, and he wants to play.
he is a sweetheart and an amazing dog, how could he not be...he's a golden retriever!

lulu the lionheart snowangel!
lulu is the best dog we've ever had.
she is playful outside and loves to just hang out with us inside.
she LOVES the snow! she can't wait to get outside and roll around.
that's why she's our snowangel.
she is totally sweet and such a wonderful family dog.
she is very dark red and has some curl to her coat.
she has been mistaken for an irish setter a lot.
and, she's one of the loves of our lives!

ALICE HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
here's our alice in wonderland!
she was the last to be born weighing in at a whopping 15.2 oz.
she is a little lighter than her siblings but she's getting darker all the time.
she is a strong & healthy size, especially for a girl.
she loves to play with her brothers and is so much fun!
this is her 2 week picture and weighs 52.3 oz.
johnny depp
JOHNNY DEPP HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
my daughter's favorite movie is alice in wonderland and since she named all the puppies, we got a johhny depp!
he was the runt and we really had to work with this guy to get him going, but our efforts paid off and he's held his own so well he is no longer the runt!
he has a special place in our hearts because we had to work so much with him at first.
he was born as puppy #9 and weighed in at 12.2 oz.
in these pictures at two weeks he weighs 36.8 oz.

COOKIE HAS FOUND A FAMILY!

he was born 7th and weighed in at 14.8 oz.
he's grown a lot and is one of the bigger boys.
he's so much fun to watch and play.
this picture is at 2 weeks and he weighs 40.4 oz.
gus
GUS HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
gus is a sweetie and a little lighter than the other boys.
he was born 6th and weighed in at 12.8 oz.
he will be a little smaller than a couple of his brothers.
he loves to be held!
this pictures is at 2 weeks with him weighing in at 34.8 oz.
brownie
BROWNIE HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
brownie was born 5th and weighed in at 15.2 oz.
my daughters fight over who gets to hold him.
he loves to snuggle and give puppy kisses.
these pictures are at 2 weeks and he weighs 35.6 oz.
copper
COPPER HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
copper was born third and weighed 14.3 oz.
he is another smaller male and what a sweetheart!
he likes to nibble on your ears.
he is 2 weeks in this picture and weighs 35.8 oz.
buddy
BUDDY HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
buddy was born second and weighed 15.4 oz.
he's one of the bigger boys now & always wants to be noticed
he's very playful with the other pups.
he is 2 weeks in these pictures & weighs 38.2 oz.
pal
PAL HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
pal was the first one born. he weighed in at 14.7 oz.
he's really dark and is so sweet.
he loves to lay on his back when you hold him
he was so noisy after he was born
but he's settled a little more now.
he is a smaller male and will most likely look like his mama.

goldie
GOLDIE HAS FOUND A FAMILY!
goldie is the more petite of our 2 girls..
she was born #4 of the litter and weighed in at a scant 12.8 oz.
she is one of the darker ones
she's a sweetheart & loves to cuddle
